New York, NY — Crossing Art and LDM Art Global are pleased to present: Crossing, a solo exhibition by Chinese contemporary artist Yang Liming 杨黎明. The show includes works from 2011 to 2025, from the artist’s Red and White periods. Crossing is held in conjunction with New York Week 2026, coinciding with Frieze Art Fair New York.
Working between Buddhist practice, Eastern calligraphic traditions, and modern abstraction, Yang reflects on life, death, light, darkness, and the liberation of the soul. His works enact a process of spiritual liberation—an inner crossing, or du—inviting viewers to look inward and contemplate.
About the artist
Born in Sichuan, China in 1975, Yang Liming graduated from the Art College of Sichuan Normal University in Oil Painting in 1999. The artist lives and works in Beijing. Yang has exhibited widely in China and internationally, including Galerie Loft in Paris, Poly Gallery Hong Kong, and Galerie du Monde in Hong Kong. His work has also been shown in the 58th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, Fukuoka Asia Art Museum, Guardian Art Center, Today Art Museum, Jiangsu Art Museum, and White Rabbit Gallery in Sydney.
