The Design Project is an intersection of art and design by representing the works of emerging and established artists and designers. We collaborate with brand name hotels, corporate offices, and luxury condominiums for pop-up exhibitions. We also partner with brands and private institutions to bring them a new breed of potential clients and offering one-of-a-kind art experiences to new audiences.
Crossing Collective presented a special collaboration with the luxurious hotel Capella in Shanghai. Chinese artists Li Shan, Qin Feng, Zhou Xiaohu, Chen Yufan, Yuan Daxi, Ouyang Sulong, Zhou Duoren, Zhou Peng, Korean Artist Jaena Kwon and Swiss artist Katja Loher, blended the old and the new with unique multi-media art forms with curator Catherine Lee.
In the bungalow in Jianyeli, a unique old Shanghai style, an artistic feast was displayed from nature to life aesthetics in the name of, “Aura in Nature.”
Leading master in “contemporary ink” Qin Feng, presented his series “Heavenly Bodies” curated by Crossing Collective at the eighth annual "Design Shanghai" fair. The charm of oriental culture originates from nature, and it gathers humanistic wisdom and spirit to converge in Dacheng.
Qin Feng uses the form of calligraphy in his paintings, relying on the structure and lines of the text, and uses it in an abstract form to make disorderly and free movements to form a pure art. From the theme of traditional ink painting, contemporary ink painting, and easel painting, his work integrates western traditional color ink painting and expressionist concepts, to develop the form and medium of "contemporary ink".
